Natasha Pitcock, Executive Director
Natasha Pitcock is an experienced association executive with over ten years of expertise in membership engagement, strategic growth, and program development. As Executive Director of the National Association of Shell Marketers (NASM), Natasha leads efforts to support Shell-branded wholesale marketers through networking, education, and industry advocacy. Her strengths in membership recruitment, sponsorship development, and event planning have played a key role in enhancing NASM’s position as a vital resource for its members.
Before joining NASM, Natasha held leadership roles in association management within the foodservice, healthcare, and commercial finance sectors. She successfully developed innovative strategies to drive member engagement, foster program growth, and strengthen organizational impact.
Natasha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Centre College and is actively involved in her Louisville, KY community through volunteer work with local organizations. With a deep commitment to helping organizations succeed, she continues to drive NASM’s mission forward, fostering a collaborative environment for members to thrive in the dynamic fuel industry.
Al Alfano, Legal Counsel
Al Alfano is a member of Bassman, Mitchell, Alfano, and Leiter, Chtd., based in Washington, D.C. Since leaving the Justice Department in 1983, he has dedicated his practice exclusively to representing petroleum marketers, many of whom are Shell-branded. His expertise spans all aspects of petroleum marketing, including contract preparation and review, pricing counsel, PMPA compliance, environmental matters, service station transactions, business advising, and litigation.
Al has an in-depth understanding of Shell’s supply and incentive contracts, branding requirements, and the common challenges faced by Shell marketers nationwide. As counsel for PMAA, he also stays informed on regulatory issues affecting petroleum marketers, including the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), credit card processing, labor matters like the “joint employer rule,” PCI compliance, and environmental laws and regulations.
A sought-after speaker, Al has presented at numerous industry events, including SIGMA, PMAA, OPIS-sponsored seminars, and state and regional petroleum association meetings, sharing his knowledge and insights with industry professionals across the nation.
